The rapid development of digital technology in Indonesia has provided easier access to information but has also introduced serious threats, such as online gambling and illegal online lending, particularly in rural areas. Low awareness of digital ethics and weak digital safety increase vulnerability to financial, psychological, and social risks. This community service program aimed to equip residents of Karangasem Basiran Hamlet with the knowledge and skills to address the dangers of online gambling and illegal online lending, using an educational approach based on the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology’s four pillars of digital literacy (digital skills, digital safety, digital ethics, and digital culture). The implementation included initial data collection through interviews and pre-activity questionnaires, preparation of materials based on the analysis, interactive socialization sessions with local police officers (Bhabinkamtibmas) and ICT volunteers, and evaluation through post-activity questionnaires. The results showed that most respondents had been exposed to advertisements for online gambling and illegal online lending and were aware of individuals directly involved. Post-activity evaluations revealed a more comprehensive understanding, increased caution, and practical skills to block and report illegal content. Furthermore, the program fostered a safer, more ethical, and more responsible digital culture within the rural community.
