Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve Computational Thinking (CT) understanding and skills among high school students through a Project-Based Learning approach focusing on problem solving. The implementation consisted of several stages: needs identification, pre-test, structured education, hands-on practice, and post-test. The training materials covered CT concepts and elements decomposition, pattern recognition, abstraction, and algorithms along with their application in contextual case studies. Sixteen students participated in the program, showing an increase in the average score from 71.03 to 73.53, representing a 3.52% improvement. Descriptive statistical analysis revealed a more even distribution of scores and increased student engagement. These findings indicate that an educational-practical approach is effective in developing logical and systematic thinking skills relevant to the AI-driven digital era. The program is recommended for sustainable implementation and integration into school curricula or extracurricular activities.
